Th computer <br />network on the EIS process was completed. <br /> <br />CH?M Hill studies which compared CO2 and saline wa er transport <br />for a pipeline from Price, Utah, to Intermountain ower <br />Project showed that saline water .is more costly du to. the <br />wet coal penalty and other factors. The company's coal <br />slurry study is expected to yield a valid comparis n of <br />the two systems over a comparable distance. <br /> <br />The AQUATRAIN staff was briefed on March 28-29 on <br />computer optimization program which may be used to <br />define the project and cut costs. <br /> <br />nonlinear <br />help <br /> <br />6.2 ANTICIPATED APRIL EVENTS <br /> <br />Fite will attend a training session on April 10-12 on computer <br />optimization. <br /> <br />Statements of work will be finalized for appraisal level <br />design and cost estimates for saline water feature <br /> <br />The Forest Service Memorandum of Understanding sho ld be <br />signed in April. <br /> <br />7.0 SUBTEAM: PLANNING COORDINATION/REPORTS/PUBLIC INVOLV MENT <br />( Stefanec) <br />7.1 MARCH EVENTS <br /> <br />The White Pine (Nevada) County Commissioners expre sed their <br />cooperation and support for AQUATRAIN in a recent etter. <br />The White Pine County Planning Commission also req ested <br />a briefing as the county is revising zoning ordina ces and <br />would like to include a provision for the pipeline corridor. <br /> <br />Work continued on DISPLA graphics software data fi es. <br /> <br />4 <br />
