Sub-district (s) of the Colorado River Dis.trict. <br /> <br />The Colorado River Water Conservation District (the "River <br /> <br />District") was created by statute to promote the conservation, <br /> <br />use, and development of the water resources of the Colorado River <br /> <br />system. Sections 37-46-101 et seq, C.R.S. The District embraces <br /> <br />all or parts of Grand, Routt, Moffat, Rio Blanco, Ouray, Mesa, <br /> <br />Garfield, Pitkin, Eagle, Delta, Gunnison, Summit, Hinsdale and <br /> <br />Saguache Counties. Section 37-46-103, C.R.S. Its governing body <br /> <br />consists of 15 directors, one from each of such 14 counties. <br /> <br />Section 37-46-104, C.R.S. provision is made for the formation of a <br /> <br />local improvement district or subdivision of the River District <br /> <br />for the construction of ditches, canals, reservoirs, or other <br /> <br />-17- <br />
