They have the responsibility <br />to suspend operations under these conditions and immediately notify the <br />Colorado Director of Natural Resources through the technical coordinator's <br /> <br /> <br />office. Advisory Committees of knowledgeable citizens have been formed in <br /> <br /> <br />both the southern and northern parts of the state to provide information <br /> <br /> <br />and recommendations to the seeding operators, the weather modification <br /> <br />coordinator, and the Director of Natural Resources regarding any impending <br /> <br />adverse conditions in their respective areas. <br /> <br />How is Information About Cloud Seeding Re1ease~? <br /> <br />Public Hearings were held in A1amosa, Gunnison, Frisco, and Steamboat <br /> <br />Springs to inform the public in the respective areas about the program and <br /> <br />to receive their input. Further information is provided in the respective <br /> <br />areas through the citizens advisory committees. Public information on <br /> <br />the program operations is disseminated on a bi-week1y basis by the <br /> <br />program coordinator, Western Weather Consultants and Colorado <br /> <br />International Corporation. The contractors and wBather modification <br /> <br />coordinator have had more than ten meetings with the public and citizens <br /> <br />advisory committees. The weather modification coordinator serves as the <br /> <br />contact point for the public media which have been notified of his <br /> <br />availability to answer their questions. The technical coordinator has <br /> <br />answered more than 75 specific media and public inquiries and has had <br /> <br />ten speaking engagements with various groups throughout the state. <br /> <br />9 <br />
