'" ,'Su <br /> <br />riU'=',,=, r-U.::.. <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />., <br />, <br /> <br />Amendments to the DRCOG 1990 Clean Water Plan <br /> <br />The major amendments to the Denver Regional Council of Governments 1990 Clean Water <br />Plan, volume II, address the following Issues: <br /> <br />The water quality assessment chapter of the Clean Water Plan was updated to reflect <br />changes made by the wacc In classlflcations and standards and Incorporated specific <br />water quality Information developed through basin studies for Cherry Creek and Bear <br />Creek. Additionally, findings of the Colorado 305 report were updated into the Plan. <br /> <br />Denver SE Suburban downsized their new wastewater facility to 1.0 MGD and adjusted <br />the service area boundary to Include a new service area with deletion of existing <br />service area resulting In no net change In the total area. <br /> <br />The State request to delete from the Plan the interim, on-site facility for the Barr Lake <br />Metropolitan District was supported. Wastewater service to the area can be provided <br />by the Lower South Platte Management Agency through existing facilities. <br /> <br />The Fairways Metro District treatment facility was expanded to accommodate build-out <br />by 1997 and the service area adjusted to reflect the District's boundaries. <br /> <br />The Denver Water Department request tor a wastewater treatment reuse facility at the <br />new airport was deferred. but the concept to support reuse of wastewater at the new <br />Denver Airport was Incorporated Jnto the Plan. <br /> <br />Revisions to the 1989 Cherry Creek Basin Master Plan were incorporated into both the <br />water quality Assessment and Wastewater Management chapters of the Plan. <br /> <br />The City of Louisville flow capacity at their wastewater treatment facility was Increased <br />to reflect a needed 2010 capacity of 2.85 MGD. <br /> <br />The recommendations of the Segments 6 and 14 of the South Platte River Wasteload <br />Allocation Study were Incorporated into the Plan. <br /> <br />The management alternatives for point and nonpolnt sources in Bear Creek basin and <br />watershed were incorporated into the Plan. <br /> <br />The population. employment and wastewater flow projections for the DRCOG region <br />were updated for the Plan. <br /> <br />A ftve-year capital Improvements schedule for wastewater facilities table was updated <br />from recent survey results and Incorporated Into the Plan. <br /> <br />Other updated tables in the Plan Include the Nonparnt Source Priority List for FY91. the <br />Water Pollution Control Revolving Fund Priority Ust, Method of SlUdge Disposal and <br />capacity ca!culations for facilities through 2010. <br /> <br />1600 <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />i <br /> <br />, <br /> <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />
