The Cooperative Extension Service in <br />Colorado has sent out invitations to lbrthem High Plains producers <br />in order for them to learn how the Plainsman Agrisearch Fotmdation <br />near Walsh was established and how it is operated by local pro- <br />ducers. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />IT Reporting Stations, Letters have been sent to the soil conser- <br />vation districts, grotmdwater districts, and county carmissioners <br />in northeastem Colorado explaining that Jim Read of the IDgan Cotmty <br />Cooperative Extension Office is _filling to discuss with them how an <br />IT station can be established in their region. <br /> <br />Unscheduled Power Inte~tion. A meeting of PUC, REA, Tri-state, <br />and GIlA. staff will be e at the conclusion of this year's legis- <br />lative session. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />4. <br /> <br />~ional Develo]Xl1ent Board. Local people in the High Plains are <br />ing the initiative on this reconmendation and plan to hold the <br />first meeting of this board on April 29th in Linvn. <br /> <br />5. <br /> <br />Irrigation Specialist. The Cooperative Extension Service plans to <br />assign an irrigation specialist to the High Plains region during the <br />upcoming fiscal year. <br /> <br />6. M:ldel Rate Structure. This reconmendation will be discussed with <br />reconmendation 3. <br /> <br />These three reconmendations (7,8,9) have been sent to the Grotmdwater <br />Comnission. M:lrgan Snith will ask the agricultural interim carmittee to <br />study these recorrmendations over the sunner. <br /> <br />7. Groundwater Depletion Policy. <br />8. Supplemental Well Policy. (revised) <br />9. Irrigated Acreage Policy. (revised) <br />These two recorrrnendations (10,11) have been sent to the Water Conserva- <br />tion Board. <br /> <br />10. Trans-County Project. <br />11. Intrastate Water Transfers. <br />
