A computerized <br />population proJection is currently being prepared by the State <br />Planning Office using a program of adjustable natural in- <br />crease and in-migration rates. <br /> <br />The figures available from the Planning Office at pres- <br />ent, however, are rough estimates and do not reflect a syste- <br />matic projection of growth rates. <br /> <br />(6) Denver Chamber of Commerce. The Denver Chamber of <br />Commerce does not prepare population projections of its own, <br />but relies instead on the State Planning Office for population <br />data. Accordingly, its population figures exhibit a high <br />degree of correspondence to the State Planning Office figures <br />and, like those figures, do not reflect a systematic projec- <br />tion of growth rates. <br /> <br />The Projections <br /> <br />Tables 1 - 3 present the population projections for <br />these agencies (charted according to the geographic area under <br />consideration). The various estimates (by DRCOG, RTD, Colo- <br />rado State Planning Office, etc.), for each area were averaged <br />and these averages are charted in Figure 1. <br /> <br />-5- <br />
