Its role is <br />expected to be advisory. <br /> <br />Schedule and Reportin2 <br />The authorizing act requires progress reports to the President, the <br /> <br /> <br />National Water Commission, the Water Resources Council, and to the <br /> <br /> <br />Congress every 2 years. The first of such reports is due June 30, <br /> <br /> <br />1971, and a final reconnaissance report shall be submitted not later <br /> <br /> <br />than June 30, 1977. <br /> <br />The first report will be in c1raft form from field review by April I, <br /> <br /> <br />1971, to permit submission by June 30, 1971. It will contain a <br /> <br /> <br />report of each current study pertinent to the Westwicle planning <br /> <br /> <br />report, including a statement of the purpose of the study, its <br /> <br /> <br />progress and scheduled completion date. <br /> <br />The first report will also show a detailed plan of study which will <br />include the organizational structure for conduct of the study, <br /> <br />coordination mechanisms, study policies, procedures, and principles, <br /> <br />detailed study assignments and schedules, and budget requirements by <br />agencies and fiscal years. <br /> <br />Projection of the form and content of subsequent reports is more <br /> <br /> <br />conjectural. Howl"ver, at this time it is anticipated that the second <br /> <br /> <br />report in 1973 will summsriz& the range of projections of future <br /> <br />17 <br />
