'O,"q!. ?7
tJ.~ t .~.

Section III describes the input data for the CRSM Control
Data file.

For an example of a CRSM Control Data file see Appendix C.
2.2.2 Demand Input Data File (step Two)

The impacts of varying the level of basin development are de-
termined by modification of the Demand Input Data (SMDD).
This modification is made by editing or recreating the Demand
Data Base (DEMDID) and running the SMDID program. The char-
acteristics of each demand and diversion are contained in the
Demand Data Base. SMDID also produces summaries of projected
depletion by water use (irrigation, municipal and industrial,
power, etc.), state, and basin.

Refer to the SMDID documentation for a detailed description
of the input to the program. The procedure file RUNSMD in
file PROCFIL can be used to run the program.

2.2.3 Hydrology Input Data File (step Three)

The Hydrology Input Data file, which is input to CRSM, is
produced by the MHYDRO program. Refer to the MHYDRO User's
Manual for a description of the MHYDRO program. The procedure
file EMHYDRO in file PROCFIL can be used to run the program.

2.2.4 TAPEDIT Control Data File (step Four)

-...J

The TAPEDIT Control Data file contains a list of selected
CRSM output parameters and processing orders that print,
plot, calculate statistics, and convert or compare the se-
lected output parameters. Refer to TAPEDIT User's Manual for
a description of the TAPEDIT Control Data file.

2.3 Runninq the CRSM and TAPEDIT Proqrams (steps Five and
Six)

After all the files are created and/or modified, the proce-
dure files RUNCRSM and RUNEDIT, in file PROCFIL, are used to
run the CRSM and the optional TAPEDIT programs.

The CRSM program produces printed output, a binary file which
is input to the TAPEDIT program, and a dayfile.

The TAPEDIT program takes the binary file from CRSM and pro-
duces printed output, plotted output, and a dayfile.

All error messages generated by both programs are listed in
the printed output files.

6
