This portion of Task 4 will be <br />finalized at the May 7-8 meeting in Denver, CO. <br /> <br />Definitions <br /> <br />Management method is a physical or chemical manipulation of the <br />area (habitat) to achieve a management goal. <br /> <br />Use is a practice or a method of utilizing natural resources in a <br />consumptive or non-consumptive manner. <br /> <br />In-channel habitat refers to the portion of the river between the <br />river banks including islands. <br /> <br />Out-of-channel habitat refers to all managed lands outside the <br />river banks including wet meadows and uplands. <br /> <br />On-site species refers to all flora and fauna located on managed <br />lands; primarily threatened and endangered species. <br /> <br />Attachments <br /> <br /> <br />pc: Platte River Coordinator <br />Nebraska state Supervisor <br />Coordinating Committee <br />
