Raises the yearly limit of $1,000,000 authorized by the Flood <br />Control Act of 1960 for flood plain information studies to $2,500,000. <br /> <br />3. Raises the cost limits of small navigation and beach erosion <br />projects as follows: <br /> <br />a. Navigation: From the $200,000 present limit per project <br />to $500,000; and the present overall yearly amount from $2,000,000 to <br />$10,000,000. <br /> <br />b. Beach Erosion: From the $400,000 present limit per <br />project to $500,000; and the present overall yearly amount from $3,000,000 <br />to $ 10 ,000,000 . <br /> <br />4. Authorizes the Secretary of the Army to transmit to the <br />Committees on Public Works suggested legislation revising and codifying <br />the laws relating to Corps of Engineers civil works projects. <br /> <br />5. Authorizes a study by the Corps of Engineers of the need <br />for and feasibility of reimbursing States and other local interests for <br />expenditures incurred by them in connection with Corps of Engineers <br />authorized projects. <br /> <br />The bill contains a number of other minor provisions aimed at <br />dealing with local situations or details of previous acts. <br /> <br />Listings of new construction and other authorizations with description <br />and estimated cost, where appropriate, follow. The initials before the <br />projects indicate N (navigation);FC (flood control); BE (beach erosion <br />control); MP (multiple purposcl, and HFC (hurricane flood control).
