",," 0008Q2
\

.

(Powres.t) was revised to re operate all water rights associated with the receiving
instream flow so that reservoir releases are immediately available to the entire
instream flow reach before other structures are allowed to benefit from the reservoir
release. Since the Phase II application typically tied reservoir releases to only the
most upstream instream flow, this enhancement, which is more correct, may cause
slight differences when compared to the Phase II results. Exhibits 1-2 show standard
· .xdd and · .xir output for a simple example (Example 23).

Impact of the StateMod Enhancement To evaluate the impact of the StateMod
enhancement results were compared to the Phase II results for two runs: the historic and
the calculated. As presented in Exhibits 3 and 4, the model enhancement had no impact
on historical results other than at the instream flow locations. Exhibits 5 and 6, show a
small impact to 4 structures (maximum average annual difference = 48 at). These
differences are related to the treatment of an instream flow as a reach rather than a series
of unique structures. The enhancement made for year III is considered more accurate.

fn=\w\statem\whitet\word\mm20 1 ,doc

2
