, . OOOGZ!

01-26-95

A276 01-26-96

· Filled in data gaps for evaporation time series for the smaller reservoirs in
the network.

.

Modified return flows from "excess demand" from Bostwick Park demand
(87%), assuming 100% infiltration and returns to the Cimarron River, just
below the Canal headgate. '

· Modified the operation of the Smith Fork Feeder Canal to function as a
direct flow right diverting water to storage in Crawford Reservoir but which
is not subject to the one-fill per year rule. The diversion is still limited only
to periods when there is available space in Crawford Reservoir. The single
fill rule is now tied to the Iron Creek inflow link.

· Added a dead pool account to Ridgway Reservoir. This is tied to the
minpool demand. Since this demand is set to zero, water will not be
released from the dead pool. However, water can be brought into the dead
pool to allow for replacement of prorata evaporation loss.

. Added links to provide for a limited refill of Ridgway Reservoir, constrained
to only the months of May and June. This change was to override the
tendency of the reservoir to lose water after it had achieved its" paper" one
time fill during the winter months.

· Changed UVWUA account in Ridgway from 11,200 to 10,300 acre-feet.
Since it is currently unallocated, the 900 acre-feet in the Dallas account has
been temporarily connected to the minpool demand which has a zero
demand.

. Changed the total contents of Ridgway and Paonia reservoirs to account for
all of the sub-accounts (ownerships), including the dead and inactive pools.
Added a new sub-account in Paonia Reservoir for delivery of 1,500 acre-
feet to the river for endangered species mitigation. It is assumed that this
water will be released during June of each year.

· Changed allocation of 2.000 acre-feet in Paonia Reservoir for the Ragged
Mountain Water Users. based on acreage irrigated under the East Muddy
and West Muddy ditches (from GUNMOD).

· Filled in missing data in the Gunnison Town demand.

· Incorporated headgate nodes for each of the Uncompahgre Project canals
which are linked to receive return flows from upstream structures. If the
return flow is not needed to satisfy the demand, they move through a link
from the headgate demand back to the river. This eliminates the need for
the "sink" formerly included in the UVWUA constructs.

· Added a storage link from Blue Mesa Reservoir to the Ironstone Ditch. As
a result, about 66% of the demand in the UVWUA has access to storage
in Blue Mesa and Ridgway reservoirs.

4

1.16.27 Foshs, Ritsch
