Colorado. and <br /> <br />more particularly in ell or parts of Sections 5. 6 end 8. T. 6 N.. R. 69 w.. <br /> <br />Sections 6. 7. 18. 19. 20. 29. 30. 31 and 32. T. 7 N.. R. 69 w.. and Sections <br /> <br />1. 12 and 13. T. 7 N.. R. 70 w.. 6th Principal Meridian. The reservoir is <br /> <br />formed by placing four earth and rock fill dams and one dike across Spring <br /> <br />Canyon. Dixon Canyon and Soldier Canyon and the saddle between Soldier Creek <br /> <br />and Mill Creek. The construction of these dams and dikes forms a storage <br /> <br />reservoir for project waters about four miles west of Fort Collins. Colorado. <br /> <br />The maximum water surface is elevation 5430.00 feet. <br /> <br />The location of the axis of Spring Canyon DAm is described as follows: <br /> <br />Starting at the SW corner of Section 32. T. 7 N.. R. 69 W.. Station 0 115 of <br /> <br /> <br />the axia bears N. 610 51' 10" E. a distance of 3.932.2 feet. The besring of <br /> <br /> <br />tha axis is N. 40 0' ~. from said station and is 1.100 feet in length. The <br /> <br />height of the dam is 225 feet above the lowest point in the foundetion excavation. <br /> <br />The looation of the exis of Dixon Canyon Dam ia described as follows: <br /> <br />Startin~ at tha NW corner of Seotion 20. T. 7 N.. R. 69 W.. Station 2 108 of <br /> <br /> <br />the axis bears S. 170 28' 18" E. s distance of 5.331.4 feet. 'The bee ring of <br /> <br />the axis is N. 80 O' W. from said station and is 1.200 feet in length. The <br /> <br />height of the dam is 240 feet above the lowest point in the foundation excavation. <br /> <br />The location of the axis of Soldier Canyon Dam is described as follows: <br /> <br /> <br />Starting at the SE corner of Seotion 7. T. 7 N.. R. 69 W.. Station 0 110 of the <br /> <br /> <br />axis bears N. 440 46' 18" W. a distance of 3.328.9 feet. The bearing of the <br /> <br />axis is N. 150 0' ~. from seid station and is 1.400 feet in length. The height <br /> <br />of the dam is 230 feet ahove the lowest point in the foundation excavation. <br /> <br />The location of the axis of Horsetooth Dam is described es follows: <br /> <br />Starting at the SE oorner of Section 6. T. 7 N.. R. 69 w" Station 0 I 00 of <br /> <br /> <br />the axis bears N. 660 39' 43" w. a distance of 4.577.J feet. The bearing of <br /> <br />o <br />t~e axis is S. 71 0' W. from seid station and is 1.~OO feet in length. The <br /> <br />hei~ht of the da~ is 150 feet above the lowest point in the foundation eXOa- <br /> <br />vat ion. There i. al.o provirted an outlet through the dam. Thi. outlet will <br /> <br />supply projeot waters to the Poudre River area. Adjacent to the outlet is a <br />I <br /> <br />valve house and stilling basin which is the headworks of the Poudre Supply <br /> <br />Canal hereinafter diecussed. The outlet conduit will be a reinforced concrete <br /> <br />2638 <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />
