Adams Tunnel forms the <br /> <br />floor of the reservoir and the upstream and Jownstream faces of the dsm. The <br /> <br />top of the dam is at elevation 8265.0 and the normal weter surface in the <br /> <br />reservoir is at elevation 8258. Material excavated from the eastern part of <br /> <br />the tunnel WtlS used to fill the valley to elevation 8248.0 both upstream and <br /> <br />downstream from the said dam. <br /> <br />The location of the axis of the rock-fill dam is described as <br /> <br />follows: <br /> <br />Beginning at the Northeast corner of Section 9, T. 4 N., R. 73 w., <br />6th Pri~cipal Meridian, Station 0 I 34.52 of the dam axis bears South 680 12' <br />West a distance of 4670~ feet. From station 0 134.52, the bearing of the <br />o <br />axis of the dam is North 26 43' W$st and the length of the axis is 245 feet. <br /> <br />At the right end of the dam a spillway is provided with s cepacity of 550 <br /> <br /> <br />second feet. station 0 100 on the spillway line besrs South 680 52' West <br /> <br /> <br />4731.1 fest from ths Northeast corner of Section 9, T. 4 N., R. 73 w., 6th <br /> <br /> <br />Principal Meridian. The bearing of the spillway oenterline is North 690 37' <br /> <br />East frmn said station 0 1 00. <br /> <br />Aspen Creek Siphon also hes its beginning at the right end of the <br /> <br /> <br />East Portal Dam. It extends from the Eest Portal Reservoir to a short 70.55 <br /> <br />foot flume seotion looated immediately west of the west portsl of Rams Horn <br /> <br />Tunnel. The said siphon has a circular, reinforoed ooncrete barrel 10' 9" <br /> <br />inside diameter, with a oapaoity of 550 seoond feet. The flume is a reinforoed <br /> <br />concrete horseehoe section, 10' 0" inside diameter with a capacity of 550 <br /> <br />seetlnd feet. <br /> <br />The location of Aspen Creek Siphon and the Florie is further deecribed <br /> <br />as followsr <br /> <br />Beginning at station 706 I 82.00, ~hioh point bears South 680 42' 10" <br /> <br />West, 4,740.7 feet from tha Northeast corner of Seotion 9. T. 4 N.. R. 73 w., <br /> <br />Sixth Principal Meridian, thance in a eouthessterly direotion; more particu- <br /> <br />larly desoribed in traverse tabla on Sheet 4 of Exhibit C (Drawing Gen. 115); <br />a distance of-7016.66 fset to Station 777 103.54. which point is also the <br />west portal of Rams Horn Tunnel.
