Adams Tunnel, trans- <br />ported to the eastern slope, or p..rt of it released th~ough the spillway or <br />outlet works to be returned to the Colorado River. <br /> <br /> <br />4. The Western Slope Feeder Canals, (Sheets 2, 3, Exhibit C) are a <br /> <br /> <br />system of oollection ditches diverting water fr~ the tributeries of the <br /> <br /> <br />Colorado River into Granby Reservoir, which oollection ditches are described as <br /> <br /> <br />follows, <br /> <br />From Willcw Creek <br /> <br />Willow Creek Reservoir will be formed by e dam ecross Willow Creek <br /> <br />about four miles north of Grenby. Grand COWlty, Colorado. Said reservoir is <br /> <br />located in parts of Sections 7 And 18, T. 2 N., R. 76 W. and Sections 1, 2, <br />II, 12, and 13, T. 2 N., R. 77 W., 6th Prinoipel Meridien. The reservoir will <br />..ot ..s a collecting reservoir for storage of water to be diverted into Granby <br />Reservoir. The height of the darn will be 140 feet. The dam will be ..n earth <br />and rock fill gravity-type dam, provided with.. sp1l1w..y. St!ltion 7 128.8 <br />on the axis of the d~~, ..nd St..tion 4 156.6 on the diversion tunnel bears <br />N. 400 10' W., a diBte.nce of 2540.6 feet from the southeast corner of <br />Section 7, T. 2 N., R. 76 W., of the 6th Principal Meridian. From this point, <br />water from the reservoir will be conveyed to Granby Reservoir by a canal four <br />miles in length, heving a c..pacity of 250 seeond feet. This canal will be <br />constructed on grade from the outlet end of the diversion tunnel for 2.5 miles, <br />at which point a pumping plant of 250 second feet capacity will be construoted <br />to raise the water a~proxiwAtely 165 feet to a oanal leading to Grenby <br />Reservoir in the vicinity of the west abutment of Dike No.4. Sheet 3, <br />Exhibit C, shows t~e plan of diversion. ~ second cansl from Willow Creek <br />would convey water stored in Willow Creek to the Colonodo River to meet irri- <br /> <br />gation requirements elong the Colorado River which otherwise would have to be <br /> <br />met by releases from Granby. All intercepted flows from named and unnamed <br /> <br />crAeks enroute to Granby Reservoir will also be diverted into the reservoir. <br /> <br />The ahove ground capacity of oillow Creek Reservoir ie 29.000 a.f. <br /> "Dead" etorage is 4.500 acre feet <br /> "AotiveK storage is 24.500 aore feet <br /> "Bank" storage is 1,000 ecre feet <br /> Total storage is 30,000 "cre-feet 2652 <br />
