<br />~ <br /> <br />002735 <br /> <br />Proposed sideboards <br />(the following are in no particular order, but are numbered <br />for easy reference) <br /> <br />1. Aquatic wildlife, other than that lawfully acquired and held <br />in private ownership, is owned by the people of Colorado and <br />managed for the people by the Wildlife Commission and the <br />Division of wildlife. <br /> <br />2. Private property owners have a fundamental right to determine <br />who mayor may not use their private property. <br /> <br />3. The Division is obligated by Colorado statute, Federal Law <br />and consensual agreement to preserve, protect, enhance and <br />manage native aquatic wildlife species and their environments <br />including threatened and endangered fish species. <br /> <br />4. The Division is obligated by Colorado Statute to provide <br />wildlife-related recreational opportunities to the people of <br />the state and its visitors. Providing sport fishing <br />opportunity is an important goal of the Division of Wildlife <br />and is of considerable importance to Colorado's economic <br />interest. <br /> <br />5. Protecting the long-term health of aquatic ecosystems is in <br />the best interest of the aquatic resource, the species that <br />live in that resource, and the recreational activities <br />dependant on that resource. <br /> <br />6. The Division will maintain fish production facilities for the <br />purposes of providing a diversity of fish species and sizes to <br />help meet fishery management objectives. <br /> <br />7. Since aquatic ecosystems are inter-connected and related, <br />management activities are presumed to possibly affect more <br />than just the targeted waters. <br /> <br />8. The Division will not stock fish into private waters without <br />written public use or management agreements. <br /> <br />9. <br /> <br />A diversity of <br />to help meet <br />considerations <br />adhered to. <br /> <br />fish species and sizes of fish will be stocked <br />management objectives.
