<br />002422 <br /> <br />Durango Purnoing Plant - Stage 1 <br /> <br />c. Do not use cement which fails to meet false-set requirement. <br /> <br />2. Cement strength uniformity: <br /> <br />a. In accordance with ASTM C 917 at cement producer. <br /> <br />b. Report results in tabular and graphical form for each test age. Submit one <br />copy of each report to Contracting Officer's Representative and Technical <br />Service Center, Attn D-8180. <br /> <br />B. Testing Sand <br /> <br />1. Provide access for Contracting Officer to test samples at batch plant and <br />aggregate processing plant. <br /> <br />2. Unless otherwise tested and approved by the Contracting Officer, provide test <br />data certifying compliance with ASTM C 33. <br /> <br />3. Provide such facilities as may be necessary for procuring representative samples <br />at the aggregate processing plant and at the batch plant. <br /> <br />4. The approval of deposits by the Contracting Officer shall not be construed as <br />constituting the approval of all or any specific materials taken from the deposits, <br />and the Contractor will be held responsible for the specified quality of all such <br />materials used in the work. <br /> <br />5. The Contracting Officer may test the sand during the aggregate processing in <br />addition to preconstruction testing and approval of the deposit, but [mal <br />acceptance of sand will be based on samples taken at the batch plant. <br /> <br />C. Testing Coarse Aggregate <br /> <br />I. Verify that coarse aggregate meets the requirements of ASTM C 33 for size Nos. <br />3 (2 inch to I inch) and 57 (I inch to No.4). <br /> <br />2. Provide access for Contracting Officer to test samples at batch plant and <br />aggregate processing plant. <br /> <br />3. Provide such facilities as may be necessary for procuring representative samples <br />at the aggregate processing plant and at the batch plant. <br /> <br />4. Unless otherwise tested and approved by the Contracting Officer, provide <br />certification of compliance with ASTM C 33. <br /> <br />5. Approval of deposits by the Contracting Officer shall not be construed as <br />constituting the approval of all or any specific materials taken from the deposits, <br />and the Contractor will be held responsible for the specified quality of all such <br />materials used in the work. <br /> <br />6.
