Structural Concrete, Mass Structural Concrete and Lean Concrete: <br /> <br />1, Measurement: Volume, in cubic yards, measured to neatIines shown on drawings, <br />except the volume of all openings, recesses, ducts, embedded pipes, woodwork, <br />and metalwork, each of which is larger than 100 square inches in cross section, <br />will be deducted. <br /> <br />2, Payment: Applicable unit price per cubic yard offered in the schedule. <br /> <br />B. Cementitious Materials <br /> <br />1, Measurement: Tons based on Reclamation mix designs for cubic yards placed, <br /> <br />2, Payment: Unit price per ton offered in the schedule. No payment will be made for <br />cementitious materials used in wasted concrete, mortar, or grout; cementitious <br />materials used in replacement of damaged or defective concrete; cementitious <br />materials used in extra concrete required as a result of overexcavation; and <br />cementitious materials used in concrete placed by the Contractor in excavations <br />intentionally performed to facilitate the Contractor's operations. <br /> <br />( <br /> <br />'I <br /> <br />1.02 DEFINITIONS <br /> <br />A, Mass Structural Concrete: Reinforced or non-reinforced concrete placements with <br />dimensions greater than 3 feet thick for walls and 3 feet deep for floors and slabs unless <br />otherwise approved, <br /> <br />B, Structural Concrete: Concrete placements less than 3 feet thick or deep. <br /> <br />C, Lean Concrete: Non-reinforced concrete with reduced cementitious materials content <br />and lower compressive strength requirements than mass structural and structural <br />concrete. <br /> <br />D, Cementitious Materials: Portland cement or portland cement plus a pozzolan, <br /> <br />E, Concrete: Cementitious materials, sand, coarse aggregate, water, and admixtures as <br />specified, all well mixed and brought to the proper consistency, <br /> <br />F, Admixtures: Chemical admixtures (type A through F) as specified and air-entraining <br />admixtures (AEA) as specified, <br /> <br />G.
