The outlet works would obviously
have to be constructed in stable ground on the bank opposite the slide.
Several ideas have been suggested concerning the form of the outlet
works. The options under consideration by the task force are listed
below:

* lay a substantial gravel seam at the toe of the slide as soon
as significant movement occurs
* construct a 10 to 12 foot diameter reinforced concrete
pipeline
* construct a reinforced concrete box culvert
* excavate a tunnel

6.6 AggiliQn~1_21~gi~2

Further hydrologic investigations may be appropriate if additional
work by the Colorado Geological Survey indicates movement of the slide
areas could be significant. Refinement of this analysis would include
looking at the runoff volume of flow during an average runoff season and
during 1984 for comparison.

The reservoir capacity curves should be checked using more detailed
maps, if available, and a planimeter.
