Two <br />parcels totaling 293 acres were identified as initially PIA in the <br />San Juan Watershed. The estimated annual water diversions would be <br />730 acre-feet from the San Juan River. <br /> <br />In order to finalize the PIA determination, the cropping pattern and <br /> <br /> <br />net agricultural returns must be re-evaluated by the economist <br /> <br /> <br />(Nestern Research Corporation) on a parcel-by-parcel basis and <br /> <br /> <br />adjusted to reflect individual parcel characteristics. It will <br /> <br /> <br />then be necessary to perform another engineering analysis comparing <br /> <br /> <br />the revised payment capacity with a revised off-farm irrigation <br /> <br /> <br />system and cost. <br /> <br />13 <br />
