i)!lJ~'1 ~

lb) O.t.~n. how much water ia &va11&bl. tor development.

Determination of how much water is available at the selected location is
made by reviewing historic streamflow data, water rights data and consumptive
use model results (and Upper Basin Compact data, if appropriatel. Computer
displays of time series of water flows, consumptive use amounts, and tables of
water rights data assist the user in gaining perspective on water amounts,
ownerships and locations.

The user begins by selecting a basin and location of interest using the
Map Utility. The OMI is then invoked to retrieve the total of all perfected
water rights and (pre-computed) consumptive uses associated with the location.
These values are tabulated and printed.

The result from this step is the total developed water at the site. It
is used to compare with the available water; the difference (if positive)
being the developable water supply of the basin.

l.Map Utility

Colorado Basin
Major
basins/divisions
County boundaries
Major cities
Major trans. net.

2.
