During the

,,~

.

1955-54 water year, the lowest on record, some 250,000 acre-Ieet of

water in the main c~nnel ~ouJ.d have been &Tailable for use in this

,
~,

portion of the basin.

Records of the \Yhite" River near Watson show that during the

10-year period, 1929-50 ,to 1958-59, the average annual discharge was

469,800 acre-feet, or 86 percent of the 17-year average discharge.

The lowest annual discharge recorded in 17 years of record at this

station was 280,700 acre-feet recorded during the 1955-54 water

year. The lowest recorded monthly discharge for the entire period

of record, 6,700 acre-feet, was recorded in the month of July 1954,

with ~ly discharges renging from a minimum of 106 acre-feet to a

maximum of 790 acre-feet.

As stream discharges recorded near Watson represent the un-
-

used water supply of the vYhite River Basin, it is concluded that the

,
available vmter supply is sufficient to meet the water demand of

present irrigators.

0822

~

.
