<br />. <br /> <br />\, <br />.. <br /> <br />t. <br /> <br />COLORADO INFORMATION Newsletter - Thursday, July 22, 1954 - Page 3. <br /> <br />The 64th annual meeting of the Cclorado Co:1ference of Social vleHare and <br />the Regional Institute of the National Conference of Social Work will be held at <br />the Antlers Hotel, Colorado Springs from October 12-15. <br />State conference theme will be "Strengthening Our Communities Through Social <br />,lelfare"; regional institute theme 'will be "A Program for Improving Your Conununity". <br />Composition of the Colorado Conference of Social Welfare is state-wide to <br />bring together social workers and agenci.ee with lawyers, doctors, etc. to promote . <br />social welfare objectives. <br />Regional institutes of the National Conference are scheduled for Oct. 12 and 13 <br />following the opening session of the Colorado Conference. Regional institutes <br />will be in sections: Establishing Qlild Guimance Clinics; Service for the Aging; <br />Protective Services for Children; Development of Community Recreation. Colorado <br />Conference institutes will be broken down into: Cultural and Sociological Factors <br />'Kffecting Social Welfare; Mental Health; Protective Services for fChildren; Function <br />and Contribution of Clerical Staff in Social Agencies; Public Relations; Recording; <br />Medical Care; and Child Day Care Programs. <br />Speakers sel~cted to date include Geneva flathesen; Nelson C. Jackson; Joseph <br />R. 'Hoffer; Robert H. MacR"e;.
