<br />" <br /> <br />.1 <br /> <br />;:J <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />File No. 20636 <br /> <br />Know all Men by These Presents: That the undersigned City and <br />County of Denver, Clannant, being a municipal corporation of the State of <br />Colorado, acting in this behalf, by and through its Board of vlater COlIII1lis- <br />sioners, whose post office address is P. O. Box 600, Denver 1, Colorado, <br />has caused to be located the Williams Fork Reservoir POHer Conduit as here- <br />inafter mentioned, has made these several statements relative thereto, and <br />filed the same in compliance with the laws of the State of Colorado. The <br />accompanying map sho;lS the location of said po;.er conduit and forms a part <br />of this filing. <br /> <br />First: The headgate is located at a point in and is a part of the <br />Williams Fork Reservoir Dam in the stream-bed of the Williams Fork River, <br />a tributary of the Colorado River, from which the power conduit derives its <br />supply of water. The dam is so located that its southeast end is at a point <br />whence the southeast corner of Section 23, Township 1 North, Range 79 West <br />of the 6th Principal J~ridian, bears south 24 0 53' east a distance of 2175 <br />feet, as shown on the map of the 1'iilliams Fork Reservoir accepted for filing <br />in the office of the State Engineer of Colorado on January 7th A.D. 1936, and <br />bearing his filing number 16051. <br /> <br />Second: The power conduit is cylindrical, and has an internal dia- <br />meter of 72 inches and has a head of 181 feet. <br /> <br />Third: The carrying capacity of said power conduit is 400 cubic feet <br />per second of time for which claim is hereby made for the generation of <br />hydroelectric energy, and for any and all uses necessary or incidental to. <br />the operation of the Denver l1unicipal Water \-lorks System. <br /> <br />Fourth: The estimated cost of the power conduit and appurtenant <br />electric generating works is six hundred eighty thousand dollars ($680,000). <br /> <br />Fifth: vlork was commenced by survey on the 31st day of December 1955. <br /> <br />Sixth: The waters for use through said power conduit and for the opera- <br />tion of the appurtenant hydroelectric generating unit will be supplied from <br />the Williams Fork River as the same flows through and past the above described <br />power conduit, and by releases of water from the above mentioned Willi!lllls Fork <br />Reservoir. The physical structure for use of' said ;1aters will include pen <br />stock, pOl,.er plant, and appurtenant works located in and below the dam. <br /> <br />Seventh: The unit l~hich is the subject of this filing is an integral <br />part. of the Denver Municipal Water Works System, various parts of which have <br />been heretofore shown in filings in the office of the State Engineer <br />numbered 13455, 13456, 13758, 14837, 1963, 13263, 14615, 14609, 14894, 16051, <br />15749, 16011, 17267 and 17597, and also shown on the Amended Filing for the <br />Williams Fork Reservoir filed on the same date as this filing. <br /> <br />Accepted for filing in the offi ce of the State Engineer of Colorado on <br />the 27th day of February A.
