Fortification creek <br /> <br />Water use in this watershed is primarily agricultural, with the stream system <br />supporting numerous irrigation ditches which divert 20 cfs or less. The largest <br />storage right in this watershed is Ralph White Reservoir, which can store 924 <br />acre feet under a 1972 water right. <br /> <br />Major conditional rights include. <br /> <br />Hansen Canal - 70 cfs. 1972 adjudication. <br />Rampart Reservoir - 23,825 acre feet, 1972 and 1981 adjudications. <br /> <br />5. Elkhead creek <br /> <br />Water use in this watershed is primarily agricultural, with the stream supplying <br />numerous irrigation ditches which divert less than 20 cfs. The largest storage <br />right within this watershed is Elkhead Reservoir, which can store 13,699 acre <br />feet under a 1972 water right. Water from this reservoir is delivered to the <br />Craig thermal-electric station. The City of Craig is currently negotiating to <br />purchase the remainder of the reservoir's storage from the Colorado Division of <br />Wildlife. <br /> <br />Major conditional rights include. <br /> <br />Elkhead Canal - 145 cfs, 1972 adjudication. <br />Mitchell Reservoir - 5800 acre feet, 1974 adjudication. <br />California Park Reservoir - 71,562 acre feet, 1972 and 1981 adjudications. <br /> <br />6. Fish/Trout Creeks <br /> <br />This stream system is heavily appropriated. It supports numerous irrigation <br />ditches which divert less than 20 cfs, municipal use in the Steamboat Springs <br />area, and numerous conditional water rights. <br /> <br />Major municipal rights include: <br /> <br />City of Steamboat Springs - 34.273 cfs; adjudications ranging from 1892 to 1972. <br />Mt. Werner Water and Sanitation District - 3.86 cfs, 1972 adjudication. <br /> <br />Major conditional direct flow rights include: <br /> <br />Oak Creek Thermal Electric Plant - 2000 cfs, 1972 adjudication. <br />Jefferson Ditch - 196 cfs, 1977 adjudication. <br />William Jones Ditch - 125 cfs, 1977 adjudication. <br />Boettler Ditch - 144 cfs, 1977 adjudication. <br />Fish Creek P & M Pipeline - 50 cfs, 1972 adjudication. <br />Hayden Bench Canal - 390 cfs, 1972 adjudication. <br />Twenty Mile Park Canal - 45 cfs, 1972 adjudication. <br /> <br />Major conditional storage rights include. <br /> <br />Trout Creek P & M Reservoir - 23,336 acre feet, 1972 adjudication. <br />Childress Reservoir - 24,159 acre feet, 1972 adjudication. <br />Energy Fuels Reservoir - 30,001 acre feet, 1977 adjudication. <br />Twenty Mile Reservoir - 15,302 acre feet, 1962 adjudication. <br />Dunkley Reservoir - 57,086 acre feet, 1972 adjudication; and 52114 acre feet, <br />1981 adjudication. <br /> <br />70 <br />
