YamDa River main stem /WSA boundarv to Milnerl <br /> <br />This segment of the Yampa River supplies more than 80 ditches and pipelines which <br />provide water for irrigation, domestic, and livestock watering purposes. In <br />addition, this segment supports significant municipal, industrial, and commercial <br />uses. <br /> <br />Major water rights include. <br /> <br />Cross Mountain Pump - 17.78 cfs, 1900 adjudication. Water is diverted just <br />upstream from the WSA boundary for irrigation uses. <br /> <br />Maybell Canal - 42.2 cfs, 1899 adjudication and 86.8 cfs, 1946 adjudication. <br />Water is diverted near Maybell for irrigation uses. <br /> <br />Craig Station - 90.63 cfs, 1964 and 1974 adjudications. Water is diverted near <br />Craig for cooling purposes at a coal-fired power plant. <br /> <br />Hayden Station - 30 cfs, 1959 and 1960 adjudications. Water is diverted near <br />Hayden for cooling purposes at a coal-fired power plant. <br /> <br />8.33 cfs, 1892 adjudication <br />8.29 cfs, 1894 adjudication <br />7.92 cfs, 1960 adjudication <br /> <br />Town of Hayden - 2.005 cfs, 1959 adjudication <br />2.000 cfs, 1972 adjudication <br /> <br />City of Craig - <br /> <br />Conditional water rights include. <br /> <br />Juniper Project - 844,264 acre foot storage and 1,550 cfs direct flow rights, <br />1954 priority. The location of the water right is near Maybell. <br /> <br />Synthetic Products Ditch - 59.98 cfs, 1960 adjudication, industrial use. <br /> <br />Yampa River Milk Creek Pipeline - 400 cfs, 1976 adjudication, all beneficial <br />uses. <br /> <br />2. YamDa River Tributaries downstream from Craia <br /> <br />These tributaries include Sand, Spring, Lay, Deception and other smaller creeks. <br />Most water rights in these watersheds are reservoirs and springs which supply <br />livestock watering and domestic uses. Of the limited number of irrigation <br />ditches, the largest is Brennan Feeder Ditch, which diverts 42.4 cfs from Spring <br />Creek. <br /> <br />3. Williams Fork <br /> <br />This watershed includes Marapos, Deer, Waddle, South Fork, East Fork, Willow, and <br />other smaller creeks. Water use is primarily agricultural, with the stream <br />system supporting numerous irrigation ditches which divert 20 cfs or less. <br /> <br />Major conditional water rights include, <br /> <br />Marapos Feeder Canal - 70 cfs, 1972 adjudication. <br />East Fork Feeder Canal - 475 cfs, 1972 adjudication. <br />Lost Park Feeder Canal - 100 cfs, 1966 adjudication. <br /> <br />69 <br />
