. 0 U G 1 J 6 8.0 The What If Menu

8.2.4 Editing Current Lag/Loss Data

To edit the current laglloss values for a reach. double-click on the
reach in the Lag/Loss Editor dialog to bring up the Edit Lag/Loss
Reach dialog.

Enter appropriate values for the reach in the Lag and Loss fields or
reset the values to the SEa default values by clicking the Default
button. Once the correct values are entered click the OK button to
post the changes back to the Lag/Loss Editor dialog.

8.2.5 Saving Lag/Loss Data

To save the current laglloss values to the SPWRMS database click on
the Save Current bunon. Values are saved under the current date,
and only one set is saved each day for all SPWRMS users. For that
reason, the user must be cautious when saving lag/loss data to the
database. When a save is performed, any data saved earlier in the day
is overwritten, including data which may have been saved to the data-
base since the current values were loaded. It is also possible (and
undesirable) to save the default values to the database as though they
were a different set of current values.

It is imponant to note that it is not necessary to save the current lag!
loss values to the database in order to use them to perform a curtail-
ment or relaxation analysis. The user may load current values from
previous days. modify them, and use them for curtailment and relax-
ation analyses without performing a save. The current values hold for
all analyses whether saved to the database or not.

8.2.6 Resetting Lag/Loss to Defaults

To use the default set of laglloss values instead of the current values,
reset the current values to the defaults by clicking on the Reset to
Defaults button. This action causes the current values to be equal to
the default values for the purposes of cunailment and relaxation anal-
ysis.

8.2.7 Closing the Lag/Loss Editor

Click on the Close button to remove the Lag/Loss Editor dialog. All
lag and loss data displayed as current values when the Lag/Loss Edi-
tor is closed will be used for any subsequent cunailment and relax-
ation analyses.

45

7/31/94
