<br />OOOH3 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />The third year of CROSS development is scheduled to start in the last half of <br />calendar year 1996 and will focus on development of water administration tools <br />and associated databases, development of a west slope communication system, <br />making practical applications of the CROSS system, and performing enhancements <br />to the system. <br /> <br />During FY 96-97 a budget and final scope of work definition for the second phase <br />of the third and fourth development years of the CROSS project will be created. <br />A project manager wil/ be selected for the fourth year of CROSS development. <br />Additionally, we will select a consultant and enter into a contract for the second <br />phase of the third development year and the fourth year of CROSS development. <br /> <br />The CROSS development activities for Year 3 include: <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />enhanced basin models for the White, Yampa, Upper <br />Colorado, Gunnison and San Juan/Dolores river basins that <br />consider all current water use; <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />first phase of development of a water rights administration <br />tool consisting of a PC based interface with functionality <br />similar to that found in the South Platte Water Rights <br />management system; <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />selected enhancements to Year 2 products that include porting <br />the Water Resource Planning Model interface to a PC and <br />adding a photographic backdrop to the CROSS map library; <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />development of a CROSS tool that would aI/ow the stochastic <br />extension of time series; <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />investigation of the costs and nature of potential Year 4 <br />activities including conversion of present functionality of the <br />visual data browser and consumptive use interface to a PC <br />based environment and development of a river forecast <br />module; <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />continue user involvement phase and conduct training <br />programs; and <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />maintenance of CROSS interfaces, data and models through <br />the fiscal year. <br /> <br />9 <br />
