<br />. ,..' <br /> <br />002784 <br /> <br />* Establishment of means to provide a long-term, continuous process for loss <br />reduction to include a Governor's Executive order and Mitigation Council <br /> <br />* Evaluation and adjustment of this plan <br /> <br />General Organization <br /> <br />* Chapters 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 are essentially factual in nature and they form <br />the basis for the vulnerability analyses which follow, <br /> <br />* Chapters 7 and 8 are vulnerability analyses which lead to the <br />identification and enumeration of potential impacts, <br /> <br />* Chapter 9 is based on potential impacts and summarizes actions underway at <br />the local level as well as state programs available to assist local <br />governments, <br /> <br />* Chapter 10 indicates the process by which analyses of vulnerability, <br />potential impacts and local efforts in their own behalf are combined to <br />yield unmet local needs; these needs are enumerated and become the basis <br />for state support action, <br /> <br />* Final chapters categorize and specify mitigation actions that support local <br />governments and that should be implemented to reduce landslide losses, <br /> <br />* The mitigation actions shown in this plan represent a range of possible <br />projects which, if implemented, will produce material savings for the <br />state. These actions are not mandatory, but represent organized sets of <br />approaches that can be employed when funding is made available. These <br />actions will be monitored and controlled at the state level in concert with <br />local government and upon approval of local and state leadership.
