(An example would be access for <br /> <br />equipment to maintain a stock water tank. <br /> <br />Casual or random use by off-road vehicles <br /> <br />or recreationists does not qualify.) <br /> <br />10. Roadless Area -- That area bounded by a road using the <br /> <br />edge of the physical change that creates the road or <br /> <br />the inside edge of the right-of-way as a boundary. <br /> <br />11. Suitability Recommendation--A recommendation as to whether <br /> <br />or not a wilderness study area should be designated as a <br /> <br />component of the National Wilderness System. <br /> <br />12. Wilderness Characteristics - The definition contained in <br /> <br />section 2(c) of the Wilderness Act (78 Stat. 891); see <br /> <br />page 4. <br /> <br />13. Wilderness Area - An area formally designated by Congress as <br /> <br />a part of the National Wilderness Preservation System. <br /> <br />14. Wilderness Study Area - A roadless area which has been found <br /> <br />to have wilderness characteristics (thus having the potential <br /> <br />of being included in the National Wilderness System), and <br /> <br />which will be subjected to intensive analysis in the Bureau's <br /> <br />planning system, and public review to determine wilderness <br /> <br />suitability, and is not yet the subject of a congressional <br /> <br />decision regarding its designation as wilderness. <br />jQ <br />
