<br />1053 <br /> <br />Task 3.01 Phase n Instream Flows <br /> <br />Objective: Modif'y Phase II model input to reflect changes in the way instream flow reaches are <br />specified to Statemod. This subtask brings the model application into conformance <br />with the current version of the code before the application itself is enhanced. <br /> <br />Prerequisite: Statemod code will be modified by the State so that instream flow reach is defined by <br />specifying the upstream and downstream termini, avoiding the current need to insert <br />instream flow demand nodes below each structure in the reach. RTI will have <br />modified the Statemod Gill in accordance with the Statemod program changes, User <br />documentation will have been updated accordingly. <br /> <br />Approach: <br />I. Boyle: Modify input files to reflect an upstream and downstream terminus of instream <br />flows, Specifically, change the river network file to remove "extra" instream flow nodes, <br />edit or recreate the .dds file as necessary, and edit instream flow files to reflect new data <br />input format. Return flow locations should be reviewed and changed if necessary to make <br />sure that every return flow re-enters the stream at an existing node, <br />2, Boyle: Execute the model with the Phase II calculated scenario demand set. With the "big <br />picture plot", compare new output with existing Phase II output for the same data set to <br />confirm that results are not changed. <br />3, Boyle: Write a short (1 to 2 pages) Task Memorandum describing the changes to the input <br />data set and the results of the scenario comparison. <br /> <br />Deliverables: <br />I. Updated copies of the modified Phase II input f1les will be placed on workstation cando and <br />Boyle workstations. <br />2, Big picture plots comparing Phase II output with output following modification of the Phase <br />II instream flows. <br />3, Task Memorandum describing changes to the input data set and the results of the scenario <br />comparison executed in Subtask 3.01.2. <br /> <br />Subtask 3.02 Map Preparation <br /> <br />Objective: Prepare an electronic and hard copy map of irrigated lands, headgates, hydrology, and <br />baseflow nodes, differentiating between that modeled in Phase II and remaining to be <br />modeled in Phase m. This map will be a useful aid in spatial aggregation of diversion <br />structures. <br /> <br />Approach: <br />I. STATE: Identif'y diversions in the Yampa River Basin which are tied to irrigated land but <br />have no location. Define locations for these headgates. Update the CROSS ArcInfo <br />formatted file of "Diversions" to include these structures. <br />2, STATE: Modif'y Statemod to allow reports providing a list of structures (wdid) modeled in <br />a given simulation.
