There are numerous <br />warehouse in and around Center. <br /> <br />are the principal crops grot1I1 in the <br />potato brokers with grading and sacking <br /> <br />Watershed Problems <br /> <br />The principal watershed problems are the need of storage for late <br />irrigation season use and for an improved distribution system and stream <br />channel to alleviate flooding and winter icing of fields. <br /> <br />Flood Prevention <br /> <br />Floodwater and sediment damages occur to pastures and meadows, <br />irrigation ditches and diversions, County ro&ds and bridges and to the <br />Town of Saguache. <br /> <br />Erosion damage is slight, being mainly occasional scour d&liI&ge on <br />fields. <br /> <br />Drainage <br /> <br />Drainage is not listed as a problem by the sponsors. However, there <br />are areas bel"", Saguache with high water twles. The extent and treatment <br />for these areas will be inventoried during work plan investigation. <br /> <br />/ <br /> <br />Irrigation <br /> <br />Objective of the sponsors is to construct reservoir storage to protect <br />their present decrees by storing waters that are surplus in the winter <br />and most years in the spring from snow melt runoff.
