0;)ll533

Total project conatruction costs, exclusive of specific

recreation and fish and wildlife facilities. sre now tentatively

estimated at about $55,000,000.

A benefit-cost analysis has not yet been prepared but it

is anticipated that the project will have a satisfactory benefit-cost

ratio.

It is expected that well over. half of the project costs will

be allocated to municipal and industrial use with those costs to be

fully repaid with interest by the users. Procedures n~l under

consideration may require that the costs of project irrigation water used

for irrigation of lawns, gardens and other uses on small tracts around

residences be fully reimbursable by tbe users,

Repayment charges for water used for commercial crop

production will be determined by the usual methods f~r computing

payment capacity of the irrigation water users. As with other partici-

pating projects, power revenues from the Colorado River Basin Fund

-------- -------wi-l-!- -benused- t-o -a&&1$-1o -repay.l.ng--the -coats-allocated - to _the_ .commercial___

irrigation. The amount of money needed from the Basin Fund for

irrigation repayment assistance will probably be considerably less

than previously estimated.

8
