<br /> <br />:~ .I <br /> <br />OD12,3,f) <br /> <br />The first two years will focus on obtaining and organizing a wide range of basic water <br />resource information, This includes: using computer tools developed by the U,S. Bureau of <br />Reclamation to examine current water uses and storage in the entire Colorado River Basin; <br />developing additional tools to determine the amount of Colorado River water use in Colorado; <br />and developing mechanisms to evaluate the potential for new uses. <br />The result will be a computer system that contains key information that will enable state <br />water policymakers and administrators to examine potential outcomes when changes to <br />Colorado River policy or operations are proposed, <br />CRDSS is a joint undertaking of the Colorado Water Conservation Board and the <br />Colorado Division of Water Resources, The system will be available to both these agencies, as <br />well as to a wide variety of water users and others. <br />The consulting team that is developing CRDSS is headed Riverside Technology, Inc., <br />of Fort Collins and includes Colorado State University and W.W, Wheeler and Associates, A <br />technical advisory committee of major Colorado River water users is helping to guide the <br />project. <br />Additional information on the CRDSS is available from project manager Ross Bethel at <br />(303) 866-3441, ext. 308, <br /> <br />HUff <br />
