The CRDSS Project Manager holds weekly (Monday mornings) briefings on <br />CRDSS progress and issues for State representatives, <br />. Technical subcommittees will be involved in key decisions related to the water <br />rights planning model, consumptive use modeling, databases, and interfaces, <br />. The TAC will be kept involved in CRDSS development through periodic meetings <br />with CRDSS Project Management and the consultant team, <br />. Use ofthe briefing room will provide a feedback mechanism to the consultant and <br />CRDSS Project Management.. <br /> <br />SPECIAL ISSUES: <br /> <br />New USBR Big River Model: <br /> <br />A key component of CRDSS will be the incorporation of a <br />version of the USBR's Colorado River Simulation Model, <br />In January, 1994, the USBR contracted with EPRl to <br />sponsor additional water related development of a model <br />being developed by CADSWES for TV A. The schedule for <br />development of this replacement to CRSM is to be provided <br />to us in mid January, 1994, Depending on that schedule, <br />decisions will be made about related consultant activities <br />(possibly incorporating CRSM model), The USBR has <br />indicated that it will let State representatives observe new <br />BRM development starting early in 1994, <br /> <br />Water Quality: <br /> <br />In recent months, various people have expressed a desire <br />that water quality be incorporated into CRDSS, Present <br />provisions for water quality information are limited to <br />salinity modeling in the USBR's Big River Model. <br />Incorporation of water quality data and tools into eRDS S <br />will be the subject of future scoping sessions, In any event, <br />if such activities are appropriate they would not occur until <br />year 2 ofCRDSS development. <br /> <br />6 <br /> <br />c::' <br />..r <br /> <br />,,"~ <br />
