In addition,
the area would provide 400 man-days of upland-game hunting for a
benefit of $900 annually; 500 man-days of waterfowl hunting for an
annual benefit of $2,250; the production of an additional 3,200 ducks
and 300 geese, and increased waterfowl use amounting to 1,000,000
waterfowl use-days annually, for an annual benefit of $7,900; and
4,000 man-days of wildlife-oriented recreation for a benefit of
$2 ,000 annually.

The fish-rearing facilities would compensate the stream fishing loss
of 1,000 man-days and in addition would provide an estimated 1,000
man-days of fishing on San Luis Lake for a benefit of $1,500 annually.

As noted earlier, the Head Lake Management Area would replace wild-
life losses as well as produce benefits. Since the same land and the
same developments do both, it seems only proper to identify the por-
tion of the total cost that should be attributed to replacement and
the portion to be attributed to enhancement.
