It <br />describes the files, the file name conventions, the program modules, and a few sample batch files. <br /> <br />Operations Guide <br /> <br />File Name Conventions <br /> <br />2.1 File Name Conventions <br />The filename conventions are designed to organize the group of files needed to run the <br />HYDROSS modules. <br /> <br />2.1.1 DOS filenames: File names in DOS may have up to eight characters, plus three <br />characters for an extension. The fIle may also have a path up to 63 characters (including Drive and <br />sub-{jirectories, see your DOS manual for further information). <br /> <br />2.1.2 HYDROSS filenames: HYDROSS filenames cart be any DOS legal filename, <br />however, when using the ProjectName option (paragraph 2.2.8 [page 12]), certain filename <br />extensions are expected. THESE FILENAME CONVENTIONS ARE REQUIRED WHEN USING THE <br />ProjectName OPTION. For ease of use and operation, it is highly recommended that you adopt these <br />conventions. <br /> <br />The filename extensions for the user created input files are as follows; <br />.FS FLOS, flow source file. <br />.TS TBLS, table source file. <br />.NS NETS, network source file. <br />.IC INPC, compute input file. <br />.IR INPR, report input file. <br /> <br />Files with the following filename extensions are generated by the modules. <br />.NET NETB, Network File. <br />.TBL TBLB, Table File. <br />.ODS ODS, compute output file. <br />.REP REPT, report listing file. <br />.PRN RPRN, Commas and Quotes file. <br />.FLO FLOB, Flow File. <br />.GRF GRF, character Graphics file. <br />.MSG Message File. <br /> <br />Page 8 <br /> <br />HYDROSS 4.1 <br /> <br />March 25, 1991 <br />
