Frost-free <br /> <br />season is 100-120 days. <br /> <br />The association has about 50 percent Ustic Torriorthents, 45 percent <br /> <br />Borollic Camborthids, and 5 percent of unidentified minor soils, located in <br /> <br />the north-central part of Moffat County, <br /> <br />Ustic Torriorthents are deep, well-drained soils on alluvial fans. <br /> <br />Typically these soils have a light-colored, calcareous, salty, loamy surface <br /> <br />layer, Al horizon, less than 7 inches thick. The substratum, 7-40 inch <br /> <br />layer, C horizons, is a light-colored, calcareous, salty, and loamy material. <br /> <br />Permeability is rapid; effective rooting depth is 40-60 inches. Available <br /> <br />water capacity'is high; surface runoff is medium; erosion hazard is high <br /> <br />l'! <br />j <br />l <br />! <br />'1' <br />" <br /> <br />to very high. <br /> <br />Borollic Camborthids are deep, well-drained soils on floodplains. <br /> <br />Typically they have a dark-colored, loamy surface layer, Al horizon, about <br /> <br />10 inches thick.
