The subsoil, 10-40 inch layer is loamy material "Hh thin clay <br /> <br />films on ped surfaces, B2t horizon. Hard bedrock is 40-60 inches. <br /> <br />Aridic Argiborolls are moderately permeable; effective rooting depth <br /> <br />is 40-60 inches, Available "ater capacity is high; available moisture is <br /> <br />influenced by spring and late sunnner rains; June and .July arc the driest <br /> <br />months. Surface runoff is slow, and erosion hazard is low. <br /> <br />The sediment yield from this association is 0,2-1.0 acre-feet/square <br /> <br />mile/year. These soils are used for range, dry cropland, irrigated cropland, <br /> <br />community development, wildlife, recreation, and watershed. General vege- <br /> <br />tative type is sagebrush "ith scattered areas of saltbush. Reclamation <br /> <br />potential is good. <br /> <br />Lithic Ustic Torriorthents, loamy-Ustic Torriorthents, loamy Association, <br /> <br />Association #41, (358,372 acres) <br /> <br />This association consists of moderately steep and steep soils on <br /> <br />mesas and breaks (15-25+ percent slopes), Elevation ranges from 6,000-7,500 <br /> <br />feet, Average annual precipitation is 12-15 inches. The soil moisture <br /> <br />regime is torric bordering on ustic, where rainfall occurs during early <br /> <br />spring and late summer months.
