<br />Standards <br /> <br />----- <br /> <br />To simplify the review and implementation of this scope, standards have been adopted for <br />this scope for the following: Operating System and Software, GUI Descriptions, and <br />Export Formats. <br /> <br />Standard Operating System and Software to be used for the Water Right Administration <br />Tools include the following based on a memorandum regarding future computing <br />platform recommendations (December 20, 1996)t ' <br />):P. PC Operating System - Windows 95. _ ! <br />. Server Operating System - Windows NT Server 4.0 <br />· Web Server. Microsoft Internet Information Server <br />. Web Browser. Microsoft Internet Explorer <br />· Word Processing - MS Word. 97 <br />. Server Database (1nformix 7. z'V <br />. Local Database - ACCESS g. CJ 7 <br />. ~Serve~ Based", Development (curtailment analysis, depletion analysis, <br />communications, etc. ) . 10 be determined, in Task 4, C, C++ and Java will be <br />considered. <br />· PC based Development (water information sheets, database query, etc.) - To be <br />determined, in Task 4, C, C++, Visual Basic, Java and ACCESS will be <br />considered. <br /> <br />Standard GUI Descriptions used throughout this scope are defined as follows: <br />· Standard Window(s) (see figure 8.3.4. for an example) have the following GUI <br />properties: movable, sizable, minimize and maximize buttons, and a toolbar. <br />· Dynamic Dialogs (see figure 10.1.1. for an example) have the following GUI <br />properties: movable, sizable, and minimize and maximize buttons. (No toolbar) <br />· Static Dialogs (see figure 11.2. for an example) are the same as a Dynamic <br />dialog but are not movable or sizable. Potentially, a user will have to respond to <br />the static dialog before proceeding. <br />· Tabbed Dialogs (see figure 9.1.1. for an example) are the same as a Static dialog <br />but have tabs which allow the user to select specific options. <br />· Toolbar - provides a suite of buttons. <br />. Option Button - Allows user to choose one of a group of options. <br />· Check box - Allows user to choose one or more of a group of options <br />· Combo control .
