<br />OG1~lt2 <br /> <br />Our estimate of total acreage irrigated by private <br />oanals shows 31,315 aores in oomparison to 33,043 aores <br />olaimed by Wyoming in her testimony - - a difference of <br />about 1,610 aores. <br /> <br />Very little bottom land in native meadows in Wyoming <br />that could be classed as sub-irrigated. The only large <br />acreage of natiye hay lands in this area is next to the <br />Nebraska State line and served by the Ferris Canal. In <br />the final tabulation most of this aoreage was not inoluded <br />with 'the irrigated lands but olassified as ei'ther sub- <br />irrigated or plaoed in a non-irrigated Classifioation. No <br />attempt was made to segregate small pas'ture aoreages found <br />interspersed wi'th oultivated lands. The Coun'ty Assessor <br />of Sootts Bluff County a*serted that all bottom pas'ture <br />and native hay lands are assessed from $1 - $lO per aore. <br /> <br />(1) ''We't oropped aoreage" inoludes total oropped aoreage for 'the <br />year reported.
