International Boundary and Water Commission, <br />United States and Mexico, Department of State <br /> <br />The Congress provide sufficient funding for <br />the United States Section of the Commission <br />to cooperatively study with Mexico needed <br />improvements and, in conjunction with the <br />Bureau of Reclamation, to provide long-term <br />maintenance of the Floodway between the <br />Northerly and Southerly International <br />Boundaries with Mexico. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />4. United States Army Corps of Engineers <br /> <br />The Congress direct, and provide sufficient <br />funding for, the Corps of Engineers to <br />incorporate the Floodway and its provisions <br />into the Hoover Dam Flood Control <br />Regulations including consideration of <br />potential improvements in the coordination <br />of tributary flood control releases from <br />Alamo Dam on the Bill Williams River and <br />Painted Rock Dam on the Gila River in <br />support of the Colorado River Floodway <br />Protection Act. <br /> <br />5. United States Geological Survey, Department <br />of the Interior <br /> <br />The Congress direct, and provide sufficient <br />funding for, the Geological Survey, in <br />cooperation with the Bureau of Reclamation, <br />to assess the need for additional tributary <br />gaging stations for the purposes of flood <br />warning and verification of tributary flood <br />flows, and to install and operate gages that <br />are deemed necessary. <br /> <br />6. <br /> <br />United States Coast Guard <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />The Congress direct, and provide sufficient <br />funding for, the Coast Guard to develop, in <br />conjunction with the Bureau of Reclamation, <br />the sheriff departments, tribal officials, <br />and other appropriate local entities, <br />procedures for determinations and <br />notifications of lower Colorado River <br />navigation restrictions when flood control <br />releases from Davis Dam and Parker Dam <br />exceed 28,000 cfs. <br /> <br />IV-4 <br />
