In.!fay and June streamflow from the snow melt was <br /> <br /> <br />high and, wi th the advent of deolining water level sand olearing <br /> <br /> <br />of the streams, fishing suooess and utilization improved. Routed <br /> <br /> <br />flows will be lower than historioal flows early in the season and <br /> <br /> <br />will produoe more satisfaotory fishing oonditions. However, the <br /> <br /> <br />inorease in routed flows in July and August will negate any earlier <br /> <br /> <br />inorease in utilization by imposing oonsistently high streamflows <br /> <br /> <br />(Plate 6). This faotor is most applioable from the dam site to the <br /> <br /> <br />Rio Grande Canal. Downstream from the oanal the expeoted deorease <br /> <br /> <br />in utilization will be oaused prinoipally by the reduotion in fish <br /> <br /> <br />habitat.
