On page 9 of the Statement for Management, it is said that "... appropriative water rights are still listed on the Water District I Engineer's abandonment list on the park's east side." These water rights are associated with Case Nos. 84-CW-426 through 84-CW-466. On June 19, 1985 attorneys for the State Engineer and attorneys for the Department of Justice entered into a stipulation that these rights be deleted from the abandonment list. This would allow the united States an opportunity to file change applications for the rights (see Cases 85-CW-342 through 85-CW-385). Water diversions in the park with ownership other than the United States whose legal status is questionable include, but are not limited to the following: * PVC pipe in Wild Basin coming out of Hunters Creek near the Russell property. * Diversion and ditch crossing park land coming from Tonahutu Creek may be associated with Mitchell Ditch. * Ditch coming from the North St.Vrain River that may have diverted water to a drainage that flows into the Pickerell property. * Plastic pipe found adjacent to the Wind River above the East Portal.
