A change in the nutrients
and trace metals could influence downstream organisms.

Social Impacts

Normally, any circumstances inducing major monetary or economic
impacts can expect to generate derivative impacts in the social
sector. Earlier it was indicated that there would be economic
impacts in reduction of energy, increases in salinity, agricultural
industries, and regional earnings. It is expected that these
economic impacts would correspondingly induce very minute social
impacts. The reason for this is that the effects are viewed to be
so dispersed on both a time and a per capita basis throughout the
Lower Colorado River Service Area that the individual and community
impacts are thought to be negligible or unidentifiable. Certainly
no drastic or moderate impacts are foreseen on values, lifestyles,
or community organization. The only possible exceptions would be
to specific entities where the impacts would not be dispersible
throughout the regional service area. For example, fluctuations in
flows might have an impact on recreationalists and concessionaires.

)

I

28
