<br />- 11 - <br /> <br />2. Section 11 (a) provides for the acqulsl- <br />tion of rangeland in addition to those described in the <br />Definite Plan Report. This purchase should be on a cost~ <br />sharing basis, not completely nonreimbursable. <br /> <br />3. Section 11 (c) provides for the rehabilita- <br />tion of Strawberry Valley Project lands. The Strawberry <br />Valley Project is not a part of the Central Utah Project <br />or the CRSP. Any legislative action pertaining to it <br />should not be in CRSP legislation to increase the CRSP <br />expenditure ceiling, but should be in separate legisla- <br />ti on. <br /> <br />4. Section 12 (a) would authorize that <br />$14,000,000 of the ceiling increase be spent for rehabilita- <br />tion of wetland areas around Great Salt Lake, which, <br />also is not a part of the Colorado River Storage Project. <br /> <br />5. Section 12 (d) would authorize $750,000 <br />to be used by Utah for a biological inventory. This <br />inventory ,should be on a cost-sharing basis. <br /> <br />6. Section 15 (b) provides for another $500,000 <br />study that should be cost shared. <br /> <br />7. Section 17 (b) would authorize a total of <br />$9,150,000 to be available for the Commission to use for <br />stream improvements and rehabilitation and improvements <br />to a stream and two reservoirs on Utah Ute Indian lands. <br />These facilities are not parts of the Central Utah Project <br />or the Colorado River Storage Project. These items should <br />not be in a Bill to increase the spending ceiling for the <br /> <br />2259 <br />
