Economic rcsources (includes lands, waters, minerals) <br />Describe present land uses, importance of each in the <br />past and present, and percent of land used for major <br />activities. Land uses include cropping, grazing, <br />mining, timber production, open space, wildlife <br />production, recreation, etc. Evaluate significant <br />minerals, and reservoir sites, (might want to focus <br />on the values relative to the Nation and the State). <br /> <br />2. Economy -- (how are these resources being used at this <br />time?) Percent of work force employed in different <br />industries, income (regional and national) generated by <br />different industries, present production levels of <br />different important industries. (How may these resources <br />be used in the future?) Use the two or three different <br />chapter five scenarios here to describe what can happen <br />and what the economic tradeoffs would be between the <br />different possible futures. For energy related activities, <br />show net energy produced, value per unit, and relate to <br />national average values per unit. For recreation, also <br />cover present participation and demand, future demands, <br />percent of resident and non-resident participation, and <br />recreation needs for significant activities. <br /> <br />IV.
