<br />000774 <br /> <br />EXHIBIT A <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />CONTRACT FOR CONDUCTING WATER RESOURCE <br />INVESTIGATIONS <br />IN THE LOWER SOUTH PLATTE RIVER <br /> <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> <br />This scope of services is included as Exhibit A with the contract between the <br /> <br />South Platte Lower River Group, Inc. and the Colorado Water Conservation <br /> <br />Board (CWCB) to conduct water supply investigations in the lower South Platte <br /> <br />River basin in Colorado. Exhibit B included with the contract is the Articles of <br /> <br />Incorporation and Bylaws for the South Platte Lower River Group, Inc., a <br /> <br />nonprofit corporation. As specified in the contract, this investigation will be for <br /> <br />two years, <br /> <br />The purpose of these investigations is to study, demonstrate, and develop the <br /> <br />opportunities, locations, methods, criteria, and other pertinent facts for capturing <br /> <br />and retiming flows in the lower South Platte River basin in Colorado that are <br /> <br />available to Colorado water users under the provisions of the South Platte River <br /> <br />Compact. Opportunities developed pursuant to this process are needed to <br /> <br />protect and enhance current uses and to meet new needs including additional <br /> <br />water supplies and improved streamflows and water related habitat for wildlife. <br /> <br />This effort will result in a process or framework where feasibility studies will be <br />
