riolo~i'3

. 06-19-95 Created the reservoir target file for the base scenerio as outlined in
the calibration procedures, For the periods prior to a reservoirs construction, I
used targets of zero,

. 06-27-95 The Maybell Mill Pipeline (440695) was only used historically
from about 1978 through 1983 and ran 1-2 cfs. George talked to Kent Holt
who-verified.that.this.structureis.noLcurrently_being_used.andjs_unlikely_to
be used in the future. Therefore, this structure is turned off in the model.

. 06-27-95 On Fortification Creek modified the proration factors on 440647
and 440998 to be 0.65 and 0.35 respectively. The .xsc file in general shows too
much water flowing past the gauge (09246920). This is generally due to
upstream shortages to diversions, These shortages are due to two things, 1)
diversions limited by their decree, and 2) diversions shorted due to lack of
water in either Fortification Creek or Little Cottonwood Creek. A final set of
proration factors was chosen to minimize these shortages, but they still occur.

The percent error for gage (092469320) on Fortification Creek appears large
in the calibration output file, but the errors in volume are small.

. 06-27-95 Modified proration factors on the tributaries between Stagecoach
and Steamboat USGS gauges to the following:

walton Creek (580687) 0,67
PRIEST DITCH (580830) 0.02
Green Creek (580980) 0,06
Morrison Creek (5B0791) 0,10
Service Creek (584684) 0,06
Oak Creek (5B0508) 0.07

. 06-27-95 Took a look at some major divertors both in terms of quantity and
seniority on the Yampa mainstem and determined that for the following
structures, the modeled shortages were a result of diversions constrained by
decree,

L Marshall Roberts Ditch (most senior ditch in system)
2, WILLIAMS IRRIG DITCH
3, WALKER IRRIG DITCH

. 06-27-95 Noticed some infrequent shortages (typically one month out of the
study period) for the following Bear river mainstem structures (Big Mesa
Ditch(JUN 1990, 688 ACFT), Buckingham Mandall(MA Y 1977, 531 ACFT),
and Mandall (MAY 1977, 190 ACFT)) above Stagecoach that have storage
water in both Stillwater #1 and Yamcolo reservoirs, These shortages are due
to the fact that under the simulation the structures did not have the storage
