The acre- foot of water would not have been available at the head of the 15-mile reach <br />without the program and projects to provide the 20,000 acre-feet per year, and either <br /> <br />. the acre-foot is made available at the head of the 15-mile reach during the 7-10 day <br />period surrounding the peak spring flow when the expected peak is greater than <br />13,000 cfs and less than 29,000 cfs, or <br /> <br />. the acre-foot was not used in the spring, the acre-foot cannot be carried over in <br />storage until the next spring and the acre-foot is used to augment the low flows as <br />described in the schedule above. <br /> <br />21,650 Acre-Feet From Ruedi Reservoir <br /> <br />The Service continues to work with the Bureau of Reclamation to develop a long term contract for <br />use of this water. At present, operation of Ruedi Reservoir for purposes of releasing the 21,650 acre <br />-feet is being done on the basis of annual contracts.
